Te Whanake Pukenga a Whanau - (Building on existing parenting skills)

This programme runs on:
Tuesday evening from 6pm – 8pm
Friday morning from 9.30am - 11.30am.


Programme Content

1. Identity and values
Learning outcomes: To be able to confidently teach and write some whanau rules based on your beliefs and values

2. Responsibilities
Learning outcomes: To have a basic understanding of the roles of parents and their child/ren.

3. Atmosphere
Learning outcome: To be able to gain more skills to create a safe, positive, warm, loving and nutritional environment.

4. Love Tank
Learning outcomes: To have an understanding of the different types of love languages and to be able to relate these to their child/ren.

5. Discipline
Learning outcomes: To gain knowledge and understanding of age appropriate boundaries and to teach alternative discipline styles and strategies

6. Communication
Learning outcome: To communicate effectively as to maintain positive relationships with in the whanau.
