Puraho maku, kei ngaure o mahi — Let others acknowledge your strength

Te Kahūi Whakamana Wāhine helps women understand the impacts abuse and violence has on their mental, emotional (hinengaro), physical (tinana), spiritual (wairua, āhua) and that of family/whānau members, especially children.

Specific themes include:

  • Personal empowerment 
  • Self-care and self-esteem
  • Resilience
  • Comprehensive Safety Planning
  • Beliefs, values and attitudes
  • Recognising and understanding the dynamics of family violence
  • Goal Setting and Future Path-way Planning

The programme is free and open to all women

Group sessions: Thursday's 10 am - 12 pm
